MY NAME
My name is Sally Harris...
I'm a Mom of an adult child who has traveled a difficult road, and all the while her life spun out of control, mine was doing the same.
Sound familiar?
The journey of making a 180° shift begins when you realize you need to work on yourself whether your adult child is okay or not. This has given me a passion for helping other desperate Moms, just like YOU regain a sense of self amid the challenges that come with your adult children’s poor life choices.
I am not a certified therapist—I’m a Mom who has been there. A decade of addiction, depression and anxiety aka. "living in the pit". If you find yourself deep in a pit, or maybe just teetering on the edge of one, I urge you to seek help—for yourself and your family.
Control over your own life, and your health. You will quickly learn that you are NOT alone on this journey.
No two situations are identical; however, what is the same, is our Mothers heart. It is hurting and I know because I've been there.
I customize your plan to fit your personal needs and give you strategies to become a healthier version of yourself. Most moms lose their sense of self through the years, as we care for and raise our children. When one or more of them go astray, regardless of the reason... it can be life-shattering. Many times the transformation starts with us, the Mom.
I will teach you how to stop enabling, create boundaries or household expectations plan, and learn communication techniques to guide your communication with your grown son/daughter.
Once that is done, then you need to make sure your own life is balanced.
The enabling and boundaries aspect is crucial and needs to happen FIRST, as it will set the stage for your own personal changes. I will help you figure out what makes you tick. What are your own dreams? You are more than a Mom.
It's okay to build a life that you want and be a Mom at the same time.
Once again, I am not a Certified Therapist, I am a Mom with a Master's degree from the School of Hard Knocks. Literally. I had lived with a decade of addiction, depression, suicide attempts, and anxiety before a health scare took me to my knees. My faith and commitment to overcoming my own struggles are what turned my life around.
I knew that I had to learn to love myself enough to keep moving ahead in my own life despite my daughter's struggles.
I now have several years of sobriety and have regained my health!
I am your girl because I have been there. I know how you are feeling and I want to help you not get as deep in the pit as I did. You are not alone. This is a judgment-free zone and a safe place.
